Peacefully Detached Coffee Lab has officially joined forces and moved into a new studio.

Following a full year of exploration across multiple directions in 2025, Peacefully Detached Coffee has defined its next chapter.

Our research concludes that the future of fifth-wave coffee lies in green bean coffee solutions — an approach that depends on the integration of technology and artistic practice.

We will continue our close collaboration with PolyU Hong Kong, while expanding our capabilities through a newly established R&D infrastructure, Timeunfolding Lab. This initiative brings together a collective of scientists, engineers, and artists under one platform.

Moving forward, our focus will shift from multi-directional exploration to the dedicated development of an integrated green bean coffee maker — combining new technologies, performative artistic features, and a conscientious approach to design and experience.

This marks the beginning of a new journey.
